Paris Diderot is part of a leading European alliance
Creating an alliance of European universities that places pedagogical innovation and the links between research and teaching at the core of their mission: this is the ambition of six universities with common strengths and a shared ambition: UC-Louvain, Université Paris Diderot, Aarhus University-Denmark, Humboldt University in Berlin, University of Oslo, and King’s College London.
The desire to have a British university on board as Brexit approaches was a choice affirmed by the partners.
The alliance of these international universities makes sense: most are members of the Guild network, bringing together 19 leading European research-intensive universities.
These universities have a long tradition of innovation in university pedagogy and share the same desire to provide quality education supported by research.
Through this new alliance, they hope to reimagine university collaboration, making them more ambitious, in light of the mission of universities: teaching, research, and responding to society’s greatest challenges.
The alliance was formed within the context of the European Commission’s ambition to create a “European Higher Education Area”, integrating the concept of European universities.
Within this framework, Université Paris Diderot and its partners intend to build a strong and sustainable collaboration aimed at supporting quality teaching and research, on a European and a global level.
